Michele’s Miracle

I am currently working with an all girls orphanage here in Santiago, Chile. There are 60 girls that live at this orphanage and I was asked by the director to come and mentor some of the older teenage girls about 15 in total. It has been a total success and after much time the girls have really begun to open up their hearts. Since we are headed home on furlough on April 9th I have been pretty sad knowing that I will have to leave the girls. This part of missionary work is the hardest!

In an effort to show the girls what a normal family life was like I started bringing them home one-by-one. Lizzette was the first girl I brought to my home (age 17). She finally shared her testimony with me and boy did I cry! On the way back to drop her off at the orphanage we stopped and prayed the sinners prayer together. It was such a blessing to see how God is working through each one. That evening my heart was so heavy and I silently whispered to the Lord, I wish we had a little extra money to be able to do something special for each one before we leave.

I woke up the next morning and went to pick up the mail and would you believe there was a card in our P.O. Box. It was from a member of one of our supporting churches. The letter read “Enclosed please find a check that you may use in any way you wish, I know you will put it to good use”.  How amazing is the God we serve, he knew my need even before I asked. It takes mail about 10 days to get here and God knew I would go to the post office that same exact day! I do believe in miracles, how about you?

Miracles

Hello again, this is Bob Perez.

I have been super busy managing a team of young people that are here from Nebraska and boy am I spent physically.  I have these kids running all day long and I am sooooooo tired!!

We have had some good times playing with kids, hanging out and just watching God move.  Two nights ago during a healing crusade we held, God showed up to heal.  One ladies eyes were healed and we had her count fingers to prove the miracle and the next day she came to church WITHOUT glasses!!  Then a woman with pain in her back began to jump and bend over saying it felt better.  Some ten minutes later she came running to me saying that she could breathe better as well.

To God be the glory.  We had an incredible time and with three more days left, I pray it happens again.  I am also plannng to schedule, by faith, another healing crusade tomorrow night.  So friends, we need God! because I nor the kids can heal, so please be in prayer with us and lets see some mighty miracles.  We have seen many addicted to drugs (Kids, moms, dads) alcohol (kids, moms, dads) and some of the most extreme poverty conditions.  We have been painting houses and meeting practical needs as well and it is our prayer that Jesus be glorified in all that we do.

Pastor’s Kid Retreat

I was given the opportunity to help with a Pastor’s Kid Retreat from Jan. 8-11th.  It was an awesome experience as I ministered to over 90 teens.  I talked a lot with the teenagers and felt their heart as they shared both the good and bad of being a Pastor’s kid.

There are many struggles that I had never even thought about and I know that it will help me in raising my 2 girls.  The teens wept at the altar as they committed themselves to share their faith more with others and not leave the job up to their parents.  It was a great time and I really got to meet and connect not only with the teens but also with some of the leaders who are pastor’s all over Chile.  Bob survived the 3 days and had a really good time with the girls as well :)
