Michele’s Miracle

I am currently working with an all girls orphanage here in Santiago, Chile. There are 60 girls that live at this orphanage and I was asked by the director to come and mentor some of the older teenage girls about 15 in total. It has been a total success and after much time the girls have really begun to open up their hearts. Since we are headed home on furlough on April 9th I have been pretty sad knowing that I will have to leave the girls. This part of missionary work is the hardest!

In an effort to show the girls what a normal family life was like I started bringing them home one-by-one. Lizzette was the first girl I brought to my home (age 17). She finally shared her testimony with me and boy did I cry! On the way back to drop her off at the orphanage we stopped and prayed the sinners prayer together. It was such a blessing to see how God is working through each one. That evening my heart was so heavy and I silently whispered to the Lord, I wish we had a little extra money to be able to do something special for each one before we leave.

I woke up the next morning and went to pick up the mail and would you believe there was a card in our P.O. Box. It was from a member of one of our supporting churches. The letter read “Enclosed please find a check that you may use in any way you wish, I know you will put it to good use”.  How amazing is the God we serve, he knew my need even before I asked. It takes mail about 10 days to get here and God knew I would go to the post office that same exact day! I do believe in miracles, how about you?
